We all know that horses make a lot of manure.
For years Richard has been working on how to make use of it.
In 2009 he built the composting shed.
He also recieved the
2009
COOPERATOR OF THE YEAR
awarded by the
Clatsop Soil and Water Conservation District
The manure is turned constantly and cooked in the Compost shed until and the weeds and bugs are dead.
When the temperature drops below a certain degrees
it is ready for your garden and flower beds.
The
compost is loaded into the back of your pickup with our front load tractor and is
$25 a pickup load
We also have manure that is not compost down yet
and it is free with a $5 charge to load in the back of your pickup
